Bude Metric Brass welcomes new players of any age or ability.

They rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at St Petroc's School, Ocean View Road, Bude.

Private tuition is available for beginners, learners, and improvers, though any reasonable playing standard is acceptable.

There are vacancies for all instruments, but particularly cornets

Players were previously expected to provide their own instruments, and music stands, but a few instruments are now available for loan.

New players wishing to purchase their own instrument can be given assistance locating suitable new or second hand instruments.

The Band have a formal uniform, but prefer the more relaxed styles of T- shirts and sweatshirts, which can be obtained locally as a private purchase.

The Band is self-funding and do not receive any grants or subsidies, so to assist with rehearsal facility costs, a small subscription charge is made each week.
