Bude Metric Brass welcomes new players of any age or ability.

From 28th June 2010, the Band will rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm at Room 4, The Parkhouse Centre, Ergué Gabéric Way, Bude.

Free  tuition is now available for suitable brass instrument players with the new TRAINING BAND, Monday evenings, 6.15pm -7.15pm at Room 4, the Parkhouse Centre.

There are vacancies for some instruments, but particularly cornets and timpanists.

Players were previously expected to provide their own instruments, and music stands, but a few instruments are now available for loan.

New players wishing to purchase their own instrument can be given assistance locating suitable new or second hand instruments.

The Band have a formal uniform, but prefer the more relaxed styles of T- shirts and sweatshirts, which are obtained locally for each individual player.

The Band is self-funding and do not receive any automatic grants or subsidies, so to assist with rehearsal facility costs, a small subscription charge is made each week.

Bude Metric Brass welcomes visiting players, especially during the busy summer months, even if just for a “blow” at rehearsals. Join us any Monday evening (except August Bank Holiday) at 7.30pm, and perhaps afterwards for refreshments.
